london oh city councilYour London Ohio City Council is the highest level of local government. The council makes decisions for the city as a whole through representatives that provide public opinion. London Citizens may attend the Council Meetings and offer opinions or raise concerns about proposals, local services and violations of ordinances during Audience Concerns. This feedback helps the local government body make decisions.

The City of London Ohio Council meet on the first and third Thursday at 6:30PM of every month at the City Hall Council Chambers located at 20 S. Walnut Street, London, Ohio 43140.



Addressing the Council:

The Council meetings are primarily for acting on legislation which already has been discussed and deliberated in committee meetings.

If you would like to address the Council at the meeting, there will be a form to fill out with your name, address and topic. You will be called to address Council during the audience concerns portion of the meeting and have 3-5 minutes to speak. 

You may, however, request permission to be included on Council's agenda by submitting a written request specifying the topic to be discussed to the President of Council no later than the Friday prior to the next scheduled City Council meeting. The President will consider each request and will either refer you to your Ward Council person or the appropriate committee for action, or instruct the Clerk of Council to notify you of the appointed time to address council.
