London BMX Racing Series The City of Lonodn Parks and Recreation Department maintains and directs the American Bicycling Association track that is located at Merri-Mac Park in London, Ohio. The Track is one of the five ABA track in the state of Ohio, and is the longest track in the buckeye state with a distance of 1,300 feet. The London BMX Track was built following a grant received from the American Bicycling Association in 2001. The grand opening event took place on July 2, 2005. The London track hosts practices on Wendesday and Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm and races on Saturday's with registration beginning at 10:00am with the first moto dropping the gate at noon.

VOLUNTEERS The London BMX Racing Series will enter it's second year in existence in 2006. The American Bicycling Assoscation and the London Parks and Recreation Department opened the local track for the first time on July 2, 2005. This year the London BMX Track, which is operated by the Recreation Department is searching for community members to join the London BMX Board of Volunteers. Volunteers will have the opportunity to get involved in race day management includingl; registration, tract security, concessions, finish line clerk, and starting gate operator. Parent's of those children who participate in the event receive a waitved registration fee for their child's participation.Interested volunteers are asked to contact the Parks and Recreation Director at 740-852-4462 or by email at rladd@ci.london.oh.us
